The University of Chester - i-mop

Organisation: University of Chester

SECTOR:  Higher Education

PRODUCTS: i-mop

LOCATION: Chester

The University of Chester has seven sites across Chester, Warrington and Shrewsbury with approximately 20,000 students drawn from over 130 countries. The University heard about Chespack Hygiene through the NWUPC during a group demonstration of the i-mop at an NWUPC Domestic Category Group meeting in 2017.

The University of Chester runs a sustainability initiative called ‘Green Chester’ which is focused on transforming its environmental impact. Leading by example, the Domestic Services Department ensures that sustainability is an important element of its decision making and service delivery. The i-mop certainly fits well with this. The machine not only uses less water, it operates without the need of chemicals which sets it apart from other traditional floor cleaning methods.

The University of Chester took delivery of its i-mops at the Parkgate Road Campus in Chester at the beginning of February 2018.

“The i-mop is a very effective machine, it is easy to operate and transport, it has improved floor cleaning standards and the wireless operation means no trailing wires.

Chespack Hygiene also offered a high standard of after sales care, providing us with onsite training for our staff.  Overall the i-mop has been a great cleaning investment for us”.
